Cerrig Show President 2010

The Cerrig Show President for 2010 is Ruth Morris familiar to many exhibitors as the lady in the Treasurer’s tent for many years. Ruth was born and brought up on a farm in Parc near Bala, the eldest of three children.

She received her education locally at Parc and Bala before entering Wales University Bangor. After leaving college she joined the then Midland Bank, now HSBC, and worked in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Dolgellau, Ruthin and Corwen branches.

In 1982 she moved to the Cerrigydrudion branch, the home of the Show Treasurer for many years. She spent twenty very happy years there before leaving to join the staff of Urdd Gobaith Cymru, in the Eisteddfod department. She is married to Brian, familiar to all local farmers, and they have two sons, Rhydian who is a warden with the Wildlife Trust in Eifionydd and Elgan who works for Genus in Ruthin.

Her hobbies are reading, writing and cooking and enjoys the company of others for a meal and good wine.
